Gary Novis: Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Gary joined the team in 2007 when RAG was first incorporated. In 2008 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer, with a mandate to realise the group's long-term strategic objectives and drive exponential growth into the future. Gary has 17 years of retail experience, with such organizations as Woolworths (South Africa), David Jones and Specialty Fashion Group (10 years). Gary likes to keep fit by running marathons and playing tennis in his spare time and spending time with his young family.

Les Kraus: Chief Financial Officer

Les started with Tarocash as CFO in 2001, and his role has expanded considerably as the organization has grown. He is now responsible for all accounting, finance, IT and administration functions across the full RAG group. Les is a veteran of 22 years within the clothing industry, covering both retail and wholesale businesses. Outside of work Les is a committed charity worker and enjoys spending time with his family and a range of sports.

Ollie Olstein: General Manager, Tarocash

Ollie was initially responsible for the retail operations side of Tarocash when he joined in 2000, and was promoted to General Manager with full financial and strategic responsibility in 2007. Over that time, Tarocash's store presence increased almost 7 fold. He has an impressive 24 years of experience within the clothing industry, having worked with Woolworths (South Africa), Truworths (South Africa) and Cadema Industries. Rugby union, rugby league, family, fine wine and a good book occupy his time when he's not at work.

Julian Hayman: General Manager, yd.

Julian originally joined Tarocash in 2006 but moved to yd the following year. He was promoted to General Manager in 2007 and is now responsible for all financial results and strategic direction. His 18 years of experience come from working with such brands as Reebok, Rockport, Ben Sherman, Lacoste & North Face at the True Alliance Group and from running his own software business servicing the retail industry. His passions include running, tennis, music, theatre and spending time at the beach with his family.

Murray Manoy: General Manager, Connor

Murray joined the RAG family in 2009 and was appointed General Manager of Connor at the end of 2009 with the intention of taking it's current 23 Stores to up to 50 Stores and beyond. Murray has come from a womenswear background, working in a family business with 55 Womenswear Stores and more recently with Specialty Fashion Group (Crossroads, Katies and Millers). His young family takes up all his time away from work with a bit of ocean swimming on the side.

Stephen Early: General Manager, Internal Sourcing

Stephen is the most recent addition to the RAG Management team, joining in 2008 to build an effective internal sourcing infrastructure across the group, develop reliable off-shore supply sources and optimise profit margins. The focus is a reliable supply of quality merchandise at direct from factory prices. For the previous 11 years, Stephen owned and ran a garment sourcing, development and processing business, with a total of 22 years in the industry. On the weekends Stephen enjoys teaching his family to surf and an occasional game of golf.

Nicole Shillcock: Property Manager

Nicole was appointed into this position in 2007. Her role includes developing and building business partnerships with all key retail landlords, identifying strategic new trading sites for each of the RAG brands and managing all lease negotiations. Nicole has been doing this type of work for over 5 years, having worked with both Lend Lease and The GPT Group prior to joining RAG. Nicole's main passion is shopping, but she also enjoys good food and wine and any form of out door exercise.

Alan Norman: Creative Director

Alan joined RAG as Creative Director in May 2010. He brings to the business a wealth of experience in branding, store design, visual merchandising and strategic marketing. Prior to joining RAG Alan worked for retailers such as the Specialty Fashion Group, Esprit (Australia), The Just Group and Allders Department stores in the UK. Outside of work Alan enjoys keeping fit by running and swimming, enjoys dining out and has an interest in fine art and contemporary design.
